Breed society president, Chris Martindale, said it was the most consistent entry of bulls ever seen at the sale, which was reflected in the trade with 28 bulls (48%) selling for 10,000gns or more, many of which went to commercial buyers.
The sale leader at 30,000gns was the junior champion and reserve overall champion, Garmouth Robert 24, an April 2024-born son of Rathnashan Magnum out of the Bel Dhu Capercaillie 11 daughter, Garmouth Glory's Jessica from Laura Green, Garmouth.
Having been overall male champion at the Royal Highland Show, it sold to Backmuir Livestock, Keith.

Next, at 26,000gns, was second prize-winner, April 2024-born Islavale Ruben 24 by Rockytop Luca out of Islavale Teresa, a Shacon Hannibal daughter from Stewart Stronach, Keith, who sold eight bulls to average £16,250. The buyer was E.M. Smith and Sons, Keith.

The senior and overall champion, Corskie Rome 24, a January 2024-born bull, also by Rathnasham Magnum and out of Corskie Kabasha from Iain Green, Garmouth, sold for 20,000gns to G. Allen, Newton Stewart. The Corskie consignment of six bulls averaged £13,387.50.
Four bulls sold for 18,000gns. The first was the reserve senior champion, Grangewood Robert The Bruce 24 by Ranfurly Impeccable, which had been male champion at the Scottish National Show and reserve junior champion at AgriExpo. Consigned by A.S. and Y.A. Leedham, Mauchline, it was knocked down to A.R. Bulmer, Malton.
Next, at 18,000gns, was the intermediate champion, March 2024-born Blackford Rob Roy 24, which is the first bull to be sold by Blackford Nimod. Consigned by W.G. MacPherson, Inverness, it sold to J. McKenzie, Inverness.

Then, also making 18,000gns, was March 2024-born Newbiemains Red Bull 24 by Annick Klondyke 19 from Jim and Patricia Goldie, Annan, which went home with A.D. Sutherland, Elgin.

Messrs Green also paid 18,000gns for the reserve junior champion, Islavale Rico 24, a May 2024-born son of Islavale McCoist from Messrs Stronach.
Islavale Raymondo, an April 2024-born bull by the same sire, also from Messrs Stronach sold for 17,000gns to J.G. Callum, Inverness.

At the same money was Islavale Rookie, another bull of the same age and by the same sire from Messrs Stronach. The buyers were C. and V. Fraser, Orkney.
Three bulls sold for 16,000gns, starting with March 2024 Auchorachan Revolution 24 by Coose Nebraska, which was knocked down to Maesquoy Farms, Orkney.
It was consigned by D. and R. Durno and Sons, Ballindalloch, who also sold Auchorachan Roland 24 by the same sire, also for 16,000gns to Messsrs Swanson, Caithness.
The final bull to make 16,000gns was second prize-winner, Popes Randolph 24, an April 2024-born bull by Clonagh Lucky Explorer, which had been reserve male and reserve junior champion at the 2025 National Show. Consigned by J.H. and V.G. Wood, Dutton, it sold to Stewart Farms, Glasgow.
Females
A draft of heifers from Jim and Patricia Goldie, Annan, topped at 7,500gns for Newbiemains Red Rachel, a May 2024-born daughter of Auchorachan Hercules 16 out of Fole Rachel 15, which sold to Raeside Farms, Kilmarnock.
Next, at 5,500gns, was June 2024-born Newbiemains R Wanda by Carbery Lightening, which went to Messrs Smith, Castle Douglas.
Average – 61 bulls, £11,070 (+£3,636 on 2024); 15 females, £3,752.
