Frank Carr

So, my name is Frank Carr. I am a 4th generation farmer here at Lee Gate Farm. We are a, mixed beef and sheep, hill farm in the heart of the YDNP with roughly 650 head of cattle (predominantly native breeds) and around 1300 breeding sheep (mules and swales) with the lambs following on which we fatten. I realise how lucky I have been with my formative years here at the farm and then also the 6/7 years away from the farm with further education and travel to make me realise this is what I want to do with my life.

There is a lot that the country may not know about farming, and telling farmers' stories is more important than ever for consumer connection
