Jeremy Clarkson has released an update on the development of the hugely popular Clarkson's Farm TV series.

Amazon Prime Video has released two seasons so far of the hit show which follows Mr Clarkson's travails as a farmer on Diddly Squat Farm including his feud with West Oxfordshire District Council over plans to diversify.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a cut to red tape at the ‘farm to fork' summit in May which could make loosen planning restrictions for farmers like Mr Clarkson who are wanting to develop and extend their land.

Mr Clarkson has told fans on Instagram that filming was still ongoing at present and that a release of the series would still take some time.

"We actually will not finish filming it until October," he said.

"There is something we are trying which will not be resolved until then.

"So it is a while of yet."

David Beckham visited Diddly Squat Farm in May with suggestions from fans that he could appear in the new series alongside another co-star, Gerald Cooper.

Plans for the series may also be halted with the busy schedule of co-star Kaleb Cooper after his family grew recently.

Mr Cooper recently became a father for the second time when his fiancee Taya gave birth to a daughter, Willa Grace, on June 11.

He will also be taking a break from the farm to undertake a UK wide tour next year where he will visit Sheffield, Portsmouth, Glasgow, Newcastle, York and Manchester to name a few.
