Weaving Raptor and drill launch

Weaving Raptor cultivator and Fenix disc drill

Weaving Machinery will introduce the new Raptor cultivator which works down to depths of 9in with two rows of 560mm cutting discs, followed by two rows of sprung-loaded tines, providing 900kg of force each. At the rear of the machine will be a row of levelling discs and a full width disc roller. It will be available in 3, 4, 5, and 6 metre versions.

Also on the stand will be two new options for Weaving's Fenix disc drill. To broaden its appeal to mixed and livestock farmers operating smaller tractors, Weaving is launching a trailing kit for the Fenix to enable tractors with around 100hp to operate the drill. The weight of the drill will be distributed across the link arms and rear tyres when travelling between fields.

There is also a grain and fertiliser Fenix adaptation, where Weaving has done away with the usual dual head format for delivering grain and fertiliser into the slot; two metering units ae used to mix the seed with just one head. This system retains the Fenix's compact design, offers a simple, single calibration point.

Being kept under wraps until the event, Weaving will also introduce the next generation of high-output, low-disturbance seed drill.
