An industry working group set up to tackle the impending ban of seed treatments on maize is hopeful treated seed will be available next spring

Finding a variety which combines good yields with impressive disease resistance credentials has long been a difficult challenge for wheat growers. But independent trials are showing RGT Saki is offering growers just that.

RAGT Seeds’ RGT Wolverine winter wheat offers BYDV resistance and competitive yields, according to Frontier trials.

RAGT is introducing the first European winter wheat variety with a high level of resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus.

New varieties of winter wheat offering greater disease resistance may provide a solution to a lack of new chemistry or issues around applying treatment at the right time, given increasingly wet weather such as that experienced this year.
