Lisa Hogan and Jeremy Clarkson are keen to share the success of Clarkson's Farm

Clarkson's Farm star Jeremy Clarkson is doing his bit for rural tourism while promoting a farmer friendly app.

The former Top Gear presenter and owner of Diddly Squat farm in the Cotswolds took to social media to encourage his followers to check out the , which was developed by his partner Lisa Hogan alongside her son Wolfe Bentinck.

The concept is designed to keep cash in the hands of farmers by enabling the public to book direct with the activity provider or venue. Experiences include vineyard tours, lambing days, cheese-making workshops, and even farm stays which you can book directly with verified hosts.

Referencing the site's 鈥榤emorable name' Mr Clarkson said: "It will tell you all about the farm-based activities in the area where you are staying - you know you could walk an alpaca or milk a cow, go foraging or learn to cook. I think it is worth considering."

The app also acts as a community tool for farmers who may be looking to diversify, find peer-to-peer advice or simply connect.

Mr Clarkson went on to encourage farmers to share their events via the app after telling them: "Let's be honest you are not going to make any money out of farming this year.

"Why don't you go on Only 草榴社区 and tell everybody what it is that you are doing. I think it is a cracking idea from Lisa, I really, really do."

Share in the success

Speaking recently about the idea Ms Hogan said the aim was to 鈥榮pread the success' enjoyed by the team at Diddly Squat via its record breaking Prime Video series.

She told arable farmer and YouTube star Olly Harrison: "Over the past five years so many farmers have come into the farm shop and are so grateful for how we have shown all the difficulties they face and they have shared their own stories of how tough it is. So I just wanted to spread the success we have had even further.

"So this is for smaller farmers who do not have a marketing budget or Amazon to catapult what they have on their farm. It's a one stop shop."
