A new dating show is hoping to help farmers find love

Single farmers are wanted for a brand new ITV dating show based on global hit, Farmer Wants a Wife.

Farming for Love will follow a group of single farmers on a quest to find their perfect match. Producers have said the six-part programme aims to ‘shine a light on modern British farming life' offers those working in agriculture the chance to ‘find genuine romance in settings as authentic as they are.'

²ÝÁñÉçÇø will select potential partners from applications and invite them to move onto the farm, where they must experience the realities of rural life first-hand. Living and working together, the couples discover whether love can truly take root beyond the romance.

Looking for love

At the end of the journey, each farmer must make the ultimate decision - choosing the person they believe could truly be 'the one' - proving that love really can grow where you least expect it.

Nicola Lloyd, creative director at production company Naked TV, said: "Farming has never been more popular but finding love while running a farm remains a real challenge. Farming for Love has all the heart, humour and authenticity that make a great dating show, and I am thrilled we will be helping people find love this time on British farms."

To take part, would-be daters are asked to fill in an application form. If they make it past that stage, they will be invited for a recorded Zoom chat or a filmed dating profile video at their home. All potential love matches must be aged 18+ and all profiles must be submitted by April 24.

Katie Rawcliffe, director of Entertainment, Reality and Daytime TV at ITV added: "Farming for Love is funny, feel good and heartwarming. It is a love story with farming at the heart of it."

Farmer Wants a Wife

Farming for Love is based on Farmer Wants a Wife, from an original idea by the UK's Country Living magazine. Fremantle holds global distribution and production rights to the format. The show has aired in more than 34 territories worldwide and this year, celebrates its 25th anniversary. Over this time, it has led to more than 250 marriages and the arrival of over 600 babies.
