Farm income figures paint uncertain picture

On the face of it, a 49% increase in average farm income in 2024/25 is something to celebrate, but dig a bit deeper and you can understand current farmer fears for their businesses

Average English farm income figures for all types of farm were at 拢71,200. That masked a range of 拢40,300 for Less Favoured Area (LFA) grazing livestock farms to 拢235,900 for specialist poultry units....
