Halo tops Boyo reduction at 12,000gns

The sale leader, a Wedderburn Gregory Pecker daughter out of Boyo Firecracker, a Lochlad Ed Shear ram daughter, stood reserve inter-breed champion at Staffordshire County Show earlier in the year. It sold to Sam Forbes, Killyleagh, Co. Down.

Stock ram Milltown Fireball King which sold for 9,000gns.

Selling in a three-way split at 9,000gns was the flock's stock ram, Milltown Fireball King. By Carlaustan Extrovert and out of Diamond Destiny, a daughter of the imported sire Spaniard, the buyers were Rod Jones Penbryn, Dylan Jones, Beili and Rhys Francis, Pistyll.

Messrs Forbes secured another shearling ewe, Boyo Hopscotch, at 7,500gns. By Diamond Ferguson, this one is out of Lochlad Dictator daughter, Sunnybank Empress.

At 5,500gns was the ram lamb Boyo Idol. A Fireball son out of Boyo Gloria, a Merryboro Fastandfurious daughter, it sold in a two-way split to R. and M. McCornick, Wigtown, and Fraser Forsyth, Castle Douglas.

A 5,000gns bid for Boyo Icandy topped the ewe lambs. Again by Fireball, this one is out of Wedderburn Flipper, a Glencoy Chance daughter, and sold to Lara Reid, Mouswald, Dumfries.

At 2,400gns to top the flock ewes, Sunnybank Empress, the dam of the 7,500gns shearling ewe. This Lochlad Dictator daughter, out of an imported dam, sold back to its breeder, Henry Jewitt, Barnard Castle.

Averages: 1 stock ram £9,450; 1 shearling ram £735; 2 ram lambs £3,517.50; 7 aged ewes £1,432.50; 1 ewe with lamb at foot £1,050; 4 shearling ewes £5,643.75; 2 ewe lambs £3,412.50
