Topping the British Blue Cattle Society sale at Carlisle at 14,000gns was Greystone Sheriff

The sale leader was a March 2022-born bull by Bandit Van Het Lindeveld out of Greystone Next from Messrs Coates. Settle. It sold to Aucheneck Estates, Stirlingshire.
Next at 12,000gns was the male and overall champion, February 2022-born Solway View Storm, a son of Dafydd D'Ochain out of Solway View Kesha, which has bred bulls to 27,000gns. Consigned by Kevin Watret, Annan, it sold to Messrs Mitchell, Barnard Castle.

Three bulls sold for 10,000gns apiece. The first was the reserve male and reserve overall champion, Solway View Scooby Doo, a March 2022-born bull by Bedgebury Flat Out of Solway View Katie, also from Messrs Watret. It was knocked down to Messrs Shuttleworth, Dumfries.

Next at 10,000gns was Auchenlay Somerled, a May 2022-born son of Mountjoy Utopia out of Auchenlay Nippy Sweetie consigned by R. and M. Paterson, Dunblane. The buyer was Messrs Paton, Falkirk.

The final bull at 10,000gns was first prize winner, May 2022-born Stonebyres Samson by Stonebyres Ninja out of Stonebyres Gem from A. and C.S. Cromrie, Stonebyres, which went home with Messrs Cruickshank, Elgin.

Females topped at 4,500gns for the section champion, August 2022-born Clifftown Starburst by Dafydd O'Chain out of Clifftown Lady Luck from Dyland Townend, Malton, It sold to Messrs McGuiness, Londonderry.
