Police in North Dorset are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a collision involving a tractor.

Officers received a report at 9.15pm on Friday September 29 of a collision involving a blue Audi A3 and a tractor on Mapperton Hill in Milton on Stour.

Very sadly, the male driver of the Audi - aged in his 20s from Wiltshire - was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor did not sustain any physical injuries.

Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: "First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the man who has very sadly died in this collision.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.

"I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage."

Anyone with information is asked to contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55230155038. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
