Anne and David Spencer died on their farm in Kent after their car toppled upside down into a river
TV presenter Phil Spencer has described his 鈥榮hock and sadness' after the death of his parents in an incident on their farm.
The co-host of Channel 4's Location, Location, Location said his parents, Anne and David Spencer, died on Friday (August 18) after their car toppled upside down over a bridge into a river on their farm in Kent.
His parent's carer managed to climb out the back window and called for help, he added.
Mr Spencer said his brother used a penknife to cut both their seat belts and rescued them out of the river.
Despite having no injuries, the property presenter said his mum and dad never regained consciousness following the incident and 鈥榪uietly slipped away'.
Kirstie Allsopp, Mr Spencer's co-host and friend, described his parents as 'farmers, animal lovers and devoted parents' as she shared her 'sorrow' at their death.
In tribute, Mr Spencer said his parents were 鈥榓mazing' and he took comfort knowing they died together in a place they 鈥榓dored'.
