#FarmingCan: ²ÝÁñÉçÇø start new project to support bee population

Starting on May 22, Arla farmers are launching the Bee Road initiative to support the UKs bee population.

The Bee Road is a large countrywide network for pollinating bees to take a rest and refuel.

It is led by organic dairy farmer Chris Jerman, who says the road will be like motorway services for pollinating bees, but instead of expensive sandwiches, it is lots of flowers which help bees get on with their important job.

About one-third of the food we eat in the UK relies on bees, which is why Arla farmers are teaming together to help energise bees during summer.

With bee populations in decline, the initiative aims to protect nature for future generations.

The bee pitstops will be across farms and in gardens and, if you want to join the campaign, you can visit the Arla Bee Road website to take part and find out the best types of flowers to grow for our busy pollinators.
