Groes ewe lamb, 10,000gns
The Pyeston Ghost daughter was initially picked out by judge, Shiela Eggleston, Seagrave flock, before selling to Philip Poole for his Salopian flock, Shrewsbury. It is out of a ewe by Cairness Kaos from the Holywell-based flock.
Prices followed the prizes as the reserve champion, Steve and Louise Buckley's shearling ewe from the Sitlow flock, Buxton, Derbyshire, sold to David Lewis, Narbeth, for 4,000gns. Sired by Sportsmans Black Label, it is out of a Bentley Fly Half daughter and was in-lamb to Jalex X Factor.
The Buckleys' pen had further gimmers at 2,200gns, 2,100gns and 2,000gns.

Next best at 3,000gns were two lambs from Ross Lawrence's Devon-based Roundacre flock. The second prize Castleisle Blackadder daughter sold to Stephen Cobbald, Lavenham flock, Acton, Suffolk, and the fourth prize lamb to Tom Neath, Prestleigh flock, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
At 2,700gns when sold to D.P. and R.A. Delves, Churchstoke, was a Rhaeadr Northern Champ-sired ewe lamb from Myfyr Evans, Rhaeadr flock, Llanrhaeadr, Denbighshire.
